What Causes Rheumatoid Arthritis?
Rheumatoid arthritis occurs when the immune system mistakenly attacks the lining of the joints, causing inflammation. The exact cause is unknown, but several factors increase the risk, including:

Obesity
Hormonal factors (RA is more common in women)

Common Symptoms
